Melody is the mother of 2 grown daughters and a grandmother of 1 precious grandson. Melody recently retired from Burndy (an electrical company) after 34 years of service as a head shipper/receiver. She moved into the area 3 years ago to her family’s homestead home in Palmer Rapids.
Melody is an avid gardener with a true green thumb (thanks to her grandmother), and a volunteer at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital Gift Shop for the past year. She is always willing to help around the community when asked and recently became the President of the St. Francis Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Melody has also been the president of the Oshawa Girls Hockey Assn, Lower Lakes Female Hockey Assn and also helped with the OWHA. As Auxiliary President, she also fulfills her roles as an ex-officio member of the SFMH hospital board, St. Francis Valley Heathcare Foundation and Hospice Palliative Care Committee.
