Wendy is a Registered Nurse with a diverse background of acute care experience including hospitals in both northern and southern Ontario. Over the course of her career, she has worked in direct patient care, staff education and in a selection of leadership roles. Wendy’s educational background includes a Masters degree in Nursing from The University of Western Ontario and post graduate certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Toronto. She has published several papers, including original clinical research, and has presented at national and international conferences. Building on many years of volunteer activities, Wendy is currently a member of the Patient and Family Advisory Committee (PFAC) at St. Francis, as well as the PFAC member on the St. Francis Care Team. Wendy has been coming to the Madawaska Valley visiting family and enjoying summer vacations since 1979. Wendy and her husband Tom purchased their own Valley property several years ago and are enjoying their retirement home.
