Cook

  • Cook Level 1 and 2 certification from a recognized educational institution or equivalent certification  preferred
  • Food Service Worker Certification required (or agreement to obtain certification (non sponsored) within a negotiated time frame as a condition of employment)
  • Weekend, shift work and call-in required
  • Must have the ability to plan and co-ordinate work assignments for the team.
  • Professionalism and ability to exercise judgment and initiative in preparing food, delegating duties and maintaining efficient standards of operation.
  • Two (2) years of work experience preferably in a Health Care setting preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning  
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices in food preparation
  • Demonstrated team work, initiative, and customer service skills and adaptability  to a changing environment
  • Demonstrated verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform the duties within the physical demands of the work area
